_ Welcome to Snowdonia fly fishing guides
River wild brownie
Fly fishing in Snowdonia and the rest of North Wales has, in my view, been largely overlooked as a destination when it comes to wild trout fishing in the UK. There are several truly brilliant rivers and lakes that hold a good head of wild brownies, as well as salmon and sea trout and grayling
The scenery and surroundings are stunning and some of the upland lakes and streams so remote you will hear nothing save the birds and splash of rising fish.
Fly fishing in North Wales
Mountain lake wild brownie
The mountains of Snowdonia are some of the oldest on this planet, the Himalayas are mere babies by comparison! The water in the crystal clear lakes and rivers of this region hold some wonderful brown trout, sea trout salmon and grayling, and ice age char and gwyniad, fish that were land locked in ancient glacial lakes. This presents the opportunity for some great fly fishing sport in spectacular surroundings.
If you don't fish here you need to be asking yourself why.
During the closed season there is great winter sport to be had with grayling, rainbow trout and course fishing on the fly. Why not give it a try?
